This Çini style planter has a hole at the bottom to prevent water-logging - use it with a plate or use it as an outer-pot.

Çini are glazed ceramics and tiles made in Turkey. Traditionally featuring colourful motifs of plants, animals and geometric patterns, they are found on facades of buildings and in homes throughout the country.

Çini-making includes an intricate process where a design is drilled on paper and transferred to the surface of the object with coal dust.
