Against the Cityscape

£185.00

Sahmeran is the all-knowing Goddess of the Middle East. In some variations of her story she originates from the South East of modern-day Turkey (Mardin) and in others, from the South (Tarsus).

But in Mardin, a city so historic and full of symbolism, Sahmeran has a special place. Here, you see her on copper plates, block-printed fabrics, silver earrings and so much more… She is everywhere. Much like she is in these paintings, becoming one with the city of Mardin, reflecting its culture and soul.

Designed and made by Ebu Burak in Mardin.

“The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now.”
